Stonefish is an (agri)cultural project started in 2019 by a group of young cultural entrepreneurs on the island of Vis (Croatia), driven by a love for the land, and a desire to explore sustainable ways of living.
Stonefish aims at blending cultural heritage together with arts and culture, where tradition meets innovation.

We focus on the development of rural island areas by cultivating authentic farming practices rooted in permaculture principles (such as syntropic farming), processing local herbs and plants (oil distillation), and in creating unique products that capture the vibe of Vis. Our goal is to advance smart farming methods that conserve nature, minimize environmental impact, and bridge generational knowledge gaps. Our motto is to enjoy the process and not just the outcome.
Through hands-on experimentation, we try to explore solarpunk approaches to agriculture—reframing farming as a space for creativity, learning, and meaningful work. By combining agriculture with agrotourism, we aim to offer an immersive, sensory-rich experience for every Stonefish visitor, where land, culture, and curiosity come together.

Arts and culture are at the core of who we are. With over 15 years of experience organizing cultural events—including Goulash Disko Festival, Green Island Festival, and Dog Beach Bar Komiza—we’re proud to have helped put Vis on the international music and creative map. From production and facilitation to bookings, we bring deep knowledge and a strong network to every cultural project. At Stonefish, we’re transforming the land into a dynamic artist-in-residency space, where international and local creatives can meet, collaborate, and co-create. Alongside this, we’re developing an educational platform that keeps traditional crafts, techniques, and methods alive—passing them on through hands-on learning and cultural exchange.

Individual and collective well-being is the foundation for community living, co-creation, and healthy relationships. Over the years, we’ve hosted a variety of wellness classes focused on the connection between mind, movement, and voice—ranging from yoga and dance to circus arts.
At Stonefish, we aim to grow this focus by promoting outdoor sports, connecting with existing athletic events on the island, and hosting wellness retreats. Our goal is to offer a nurturing space where people of all ages—especially young adults—can explore and develop healthy habits and balanced lifestyles.
